In reply to Craig Close. My title is not based on the poem, it is how I see the bridge. Like a diamond it is unbreakable, like a diamond it has an intricately laticed structure, like a diamond it is precious - particularly to people of the area. It just reflects my feeling about the bridge.

Your calling it the BLUE DIAMOND….the Poem is calling it the BLUE DRAGONFLY…
For what reason are you changing it to Diamond?

It is a fantastic looking piece of engineering,completely dominates the skyline.

Many years ago before I learned to be frightened of heights, I climbed the steps with my Dad and walked across the Transporter. I still have a memory of it in my head, though I must have been only about 4 or 5 years old. It’s a constant on the skyline of the town, the one thing your eyes are drawn to before anything else that tells you that you’re home.
