Stoll Theatre Ghost Sign, Newcastle

 

When up in Newcastle for a wedding a couple of weekends ago my love for ghost signs and cinema collided. I came across this old sign advertising what looks like “The Stoll, Tyneside’s Talkie Theatre. The building is still used as an entertainment venue; it’s on the side of the Journal Theatre which is a grade 1 listed building. As we were in a hurry to do wedding-related activities I didn’t get a chance to photograph the building properly this time. Next time Gadget. Next time.
