Inside Battersea Power Station
Open House weekend this year allowed me to fulfill a long standing dream of mine: to explore the inside of Battersea Power Station. I found the whole experience very moving; awe-inspiring architecture tends to make my eyes go a bit glassy (it’s up there with the end of It’s A Wonderful Life). The photographs here are just a small selection of the hundreds I took, at some point I’ll work out what to do with the rest.
So did you walk round with everyone else or did you get exclusive inside shots. Nice
I went inside years ago and thought about going to the Open House – I gather it was very busy! It is a truly amazing building and such a scandal it has been treated so badly over the years, although of course we do like ruins!
The queues stretched all the way to Albert Bridge and back into the park. We do indeed love ruins but I’m hoping she’s going to be looked after from here on in.
Wasn’t it brilliant to finally get inside! Lovely images
